Types of computing devices

There are four main types of computing devices:

• Mobile devices - Phones, Tablets and other handheld devices
• Laptops and tablets
• Servers - Which can be split into three main types
  • File servers
  • Web Servers
  • Database Servers
• IoT (Internet of things) - These are devices that are connected to the internet to do specific roles such as lights, thermostats and building security.
