Varicella
Varicella (commonly called chickenpox) is a virus caused by the varicella-zoster virus which is part of the herpesvirus group. After infection, the varicella-zoster virus stays in the body as a latent infection.Reactivation of the latent infection causes Shingles. Once the body has come into contact with the varicella-zoster virus, it incubates for 14 to 16 days. It takes from 10 to 21 days after exposure for the virus to show symptoms.
Symptoms
- Visible spotty rash that is itchy and can be anywhere including genitals and inside the mouth.
- High temperature
- Loss of appetite

Stage 1
Spots appear on skin and can be red or pink, which can appear anywhere including around the genitals and inside the mouth. People with darker skin
