This page contains legal information about my notes. These notes take time to write so personally I think its right to make them under a clear and simple licence that provides me intellectual property rights and attribution, whilst keeping the content free and open to anyone.

I believe the internet should be free and open to everyone. Which is why:

No geo restrictions or censorship

Unless government laws have locked content in a region which is out of my control.

I have not put any geo locks on purpose which include:

• North Korea (Banned by state)
• China (Was banned by state, but could change) Check here
• Belarus (May be state banned)
• United Kingdom (Three recently incorrectly blocked my site due to the recent Online Safety Act. This has been resolved by emailing them but could revert at any point.)

Content licence

Here is a basic run down with how you can use most of my content on this site:

Personal use

Use it for any personal reasons.

Commercial use (with conditions)

Only if the content is under CC BY-SA 4.0 or any other license that permits commercial use

Share

Copying of content is allowed as long as you give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license or original source, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

Adapt and modify

You can remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

No platform restrictions

Use this content anywhere regardless of the platform.

Changing of license

Changing the licence or copyright/attribution is not allowed. You must keep the same licence and attribution as the original.

Not following terms of service

You may not use the material in a way that violates the terms of service of the platform you are using it on. This includes using content for:

• Hate speech
• Harassment
• Violence
• Illegal activities
• Adult content (See note)

About Adult content

With the above statement saying “No platform restrictions”, this does not mean if a site contains 18+ content it is allowed to be posted there. It means it cant be included in content that contains 18+ content. For example using my image in a adult video is not allowed.

Since my personal site is quite large, I may have content that is under different copyright or attribution. For example:

• 4248 Media
• 4248 Systems
• 4248 Music
• 4248 Sound Recordings

If you are unsure you can use 0x4248 and 4248 Media for images.

Do not change the alias if stated

If an alias is stated don’t change it e.g 4248 Media to 4248 Music

Privacy policy

I do not collect any personal data on this site. Cloudflare does collect analytical data but this is anonymised and not personally identifiable and for me I only look at:

• Visit count
• Countries visits come from
• Device types (mobile, desktop, tablet)
• Browser types
• Attack reports

I do not use cookies on this site, but 3rd party software and scripts may add cookies. Please see the relevant privacy policies for these services.

No intentional and invasive tracking

No advertising

No invasive advertising of anykind

No selling of data

Tor and VPN's is allowed and encouraged

To increase anonymity I strongly encourage using Tor and other privacy based networks.
